The Reality Theme Park

The Reality Theme Park
The Reality Theme Park is open to all. People are drawn to it for the unusual experience. In daily life, we rarely look at the unpleasant. There is a Park in many major cities–and every capital city. Politicians and their staffs often feel an obligation to go to experience Reality at least once. And entering the Park is free.
Park Food? Ultra processed hot dogs and fries and bubbly sugar water. There are washrooms but no toilet paper. The Career Café shows many work opportunities–all unavailable. The Personal Diplomacy Whirl-around? You only go in circles. The House of Fate? You walk through terrible futures. In The House of Mirrors you see only your mistakes. The River of Truth’s boats leak.
The scariest ride? The Endless War roller coaster.
Easy to get on, impossible to get off. You ignore it is never ending when you first sit in the car, looking forward to thrills. The start is a long haul up, then a terrific steep drop tearing the goggles from your face, then unexpected gut churning turns. The Endless War coaster never stops when you think and once started you can only go with the ride. The tracks take you to unexpected places and there is a terrible bill to be paid.
Still, better than the Climate Change Hall of Horrors.
